Opening our doors in January 1999, The Rock is a church for people seeking an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ. We're on a journey together--growing in our understanding of the Bible and our role within the family of Christ. Most of us are single twenty-somethings, though some of us are thirty or fourty-somethings. We've got a lot of young married couples and a few young families. We prefer meeting on Friday nights instead of Sunday mornings. We don't worry about keeping up appearances; we're just trying to be ourselves and develop authentic relationships with others.
We offer youth ministry programs including Nursery for infants and classes for pre-school through 6th grade children. Visit the Youth page to learn more about our programs. All of our youth ministry volunteers are trained and committed to the spiritual growth of your children.

Take 35W north to Diamond Lake Road. Turn right (east) at the ramp onto Diamond Lake Road. At Portland Avenue, a T-intersection, turn right (south). Take your immediate left (east) onto 55th Street. Follow to Chicago Avenue. The Rock will be on your right. A parking lot is located on the south side of the building.
From the North

Take Hwy 77 to Cnty Rd 62 West. Exit off on Portland Ave and travel north to 55th Street. Take a right ang go three blocks to Chicago Avenue. The Rock will be on your right. A parking lot is located on the south side of the building.
from Hwy 62
Take Hwy 62 to the Portland Ave exit (which is west of Hwy 77-Cedar Ave and east of 35W). Go north on Portland Ave to 55th St. Take a right (east) on 55th St to Chicago Ave. The Rock will be on your right side.
